Oktoberfest 2021

September 1, 2021

Well it’s that time of year again. The nights get a little chilly, the leaves start to fall, football season returns to our TV’s and…those awesome Oktoberfest brews make their way back to our our refrigerators. Oh how we love the fall season! The landscape is beautiful and the seasonal brews are so tasty!  Take a look at what we’re offering this year, along with a description/beer notes from the brewery.  Prost!

Fox River Brewing – Foxtoberfest
Traditionally Oktoberfest beers were brewed in late winter / early spring and aged through the summer until the harvest was complete. At this time the beer was removed from the caves where it was aged and
the fall festival was underway. Our Foxtoberfest is a copper / amber color that is medium bodied and rich. The nose has equal amounts of malt aroma and hops.
The taste is full of a ready sweet maltiness and finishes with a slightly grassy hop flavor. The result is a balanced malty beer that finishes crisp and clean.
Alcohol levels are mid to high at 6.2% abv. Prost!

Breckenridge – Autumn Ale
Our fall seasonal combines the malty goodness of a German lager with the clean crispness of an American ale. Brewed with Munich malts and a delicate blend of Bavarian hops, it’s a full-bodied treat with a nutty-sweet middle, a warming alcohol level and notes of toasted grains. A pre-winter winner.

Breckenridge – Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is an elegant German Amber Lager that’s true to style and exceptionally smooth. Bready, toasty aromas and flavors mingle with light malty sweetness. Its soft mouthfeel is met with a touch of hops to offer a clean, dry finish.

Wisconsin Brewing – Patron Saint
A wonderfully rich and sweet Marzen that’s full of personality and flavor.

Elysian – Night Owl (pumpkin beer)
A very drinkable pumpkin ale—brewed with pumpkin puree and juice, and spiced in conditioning with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice.
Both roasted and raw pumpkin seeds are in the mash, with pumpkin added to the mash and fermenter.

Shiner – Oktoberfest
Here in Shiner, TX (pop. 2,070), we’re suckers for tradition. Which is why this classic Oktoberfest brew is made with the highest quality two-row barley, Munich and caramel malts, along with German grown Hallertau Tradition and Hersbrucker hops. It’s our way of honoring our ancestors and the beer they loved to celebrate with. So raise your stein to tradition and enjoy this utterly classic brew.

Goose Island – Oktoberfest
Goose Oktoberfest is brimming with notes of toasted malt and freshly baked rye bread. This light bodied German lager is clean and crisp with a fine noble hop character and mild earthy bitterness that is the hallmark of Hallertau hops. Raise a few steins of Goose Oktoberfest this fall and celebrate this time honored tradition. Prost!

Spaten – Oktoberfest
This is the darker Märzen beer sold in the US and elsewhere as Spaten Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen. This is NOT the golden Festbier sold at in Munich as Oktoberfestbier.

Keweenaw – Early Autumn Ale
Crystal carmel, aromatic malts, two types of hops.

Stone Arch – Stonetoberfest
More than a traditional marzen, Stonetoberfest is brewed with classic German hops and then lagered to perfection. It has all the great malty flavors of an amazing Oktoberfest with the crisp and clean finish of a lager.

Third Space – Oktoberfest
Malty lager bier perfect for brisk weather and a festive ambiance. Throw on your lederhosen and find your Gemütlichkeit!

New Belgium – Atomic Pumpkin
Pumpkin ale featuring cinnamon and habanero chili peppers for just the right amount of heat.

Our Northern Territory Oktoberfest Brews:

New Glarus – Staghorn – Oktoberfest
100% Natural – great Midwestern and European Malts, the world’s most expensive hops, fresh yeast from Germany, and clear Wisconsin water make our Staghorn Octoberfest “Wisconsin’s Real Red.” You will find absolutely no additives, preservatives or artificial agents of any kind in this bier. Staghorn is brewed using the time honored methods to release the smooth flavor of our roasted malts.
This Octoberfest combines a smooth amber body with a clean, crisp finish. Be sure to hold this one up to the light of any harvest moon and enjoy “Wisconsin’s Real Red.”

Bell’s – Best Brown Ale
A smooth, toasty beer that offers hints of cocoa and caramel. Brewed with American hops, Best Brown™ is well-balanced and bridges the gap between lighter-bodied beers and malty stouts. The owl hopefully agrees (you never know with owls).

Sam Adams – Oktoberfest
In 1810, the Oktoberfest tradition was born when Munich celebrated the Crown Prince’s wedding with a special beer and 16 day party. Our version of this classic style blends rich malts for a hearty, smooth flavor with notes of caramel creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you’re celebrating.

Titletown – Bent Tuba
Want a beer that kicks some serious brass? Bent Tuba is a smooth German-style amber lager, loaded with rich, toasty malt flavor, and complemented by a touch of crisp Bavarian hops. It’s playing your song.
